"Everyday at Pine Tree ISD, we're teaching kids how to think, not what to think. We’re teaching kids how to rise to expectations not make excuses on why they can't. We’re teaching kids how to make good choices and good decisions so they don't have to endure a lifetime of pain for making poor decisions. We’re teaching kids you've got to put in whatever amount of work it takes to get the job done because you can't sit around and wait for someone else to do it. Basically, we are teaching kids how to be successful adults.” Steve Clugston, Pine Tree ISD Superintendent https://youtu.be/iNS3mLjsaJ8?si=pjwHkN1XvQJa-5Qc

SHHHHH..... Secret Project For Next Week!
Hello Parents,
National Teacher Appreciation Week is May 6-10, and we are making a special effort this year to express distinct appreciation for our teachers and staff.
During the week of May 6-10, our school is doing an amazing Teacher Appreciation Movie Themed Week with lots of contests and treats each day. We have creative ideas and special privileges for many of the prizes, but we also need to obtain a good pool of $5-$10 gift cards for the contest prizes. These could be to any place you think they might like, and having a variety is part of the fun.
If you would like to donate some, please drop them off at the office by May 3rd or email any e-gift cards to rwalker@ptisd.org . We will print out the e-gift cards at school.
These are cards we will use as prizes for the school-wide contests, so please don’t let this take away from anything you might normally do for your individual teachers. If we can all chip in, it won’t take much to make it an incredible week.
Also, we are bringing back our Star Polisher Award. This is way to share messages with your teachers during Teacher Appreciation Week: https://bit.ly/PTPStarPolish23
Thank you, everyone, for stepping up and helping us make this a special Teacher Appreciation Week!
