Pine Tree High School student Valeria Ramirez has earned top honors at the Forge Her Future Texas High School Welding Series Event, winning the underwater welding competition sponsored by Oceancorp.

Competing against 152 students from across the state, Valeria demonstrated exceptional technical skill, precision, and composure in a highly specialized and demanding welding environment. Underwater welding is one of the most challenging areas within the industry, requiring advanced technique, focus, and adaptability.

Her achievement reflects not only her individual talent, but also her dedication to mastering industry-relevant skills through the PTHS welding program. Events such as the Forge Her Future series are designed to empower and elevate students pursuing careers in welding and skilled trades, while providing direct exposure to industry partners and real-world applications.
