Howdy, families! Saddle up and join us for a rootin’-tootin’ good time at Texas Day! Students will enjoy hands-on activities like ridin’, brandin’, milkin’ a cow, story tellin’, and more. Plus, we’ll have a special Egg Hunt just for our primary students!
🥚 Egg Hunt Details
Primary students ONLY will participate.
Each student will collect 12 eggs during the hunt.
We need your help! Please donate 12 plastic eggs filled with treats (non-melting candy, stickers, small toys, etc.) per student. Send them with your student by Tuesday, April 15.
🍎 Snack Donations Needed
To keep our little cowboys and cowgirls fueled, we are asking for snack and water donations for each class. If you’d like to contribute, please sign up here: bit.ly/TexasDaySnacks25. Drop off snacks in the office by April 15.
🤠 Tour Guides Needed!
We need volunteers, parents, and grandparents to help make Texas Day a success! As a Tour Guide, you will help lead students through different activity stations. No experience is needed—we provide easy-to-follow directions!
Tour Guide Responsibilities:
✅ Arrive at 7:30 AM to help set up activities
✅ Assist with splitting students into groups
✅ Help with snacks and water
✅ Keep track of your group of students
✅ Reset activities for the next group
✅ Assist in setting up the Egg Hunt
If you’re available to help as a tour guide from 7:30 AM to 11:45 AM, please sign up with your child’s teacher. Volunteers must complete the online volunteer application at: www.ptisd.org/o/ptisd/page/volunteer.

Each student may have up to TWO (2) adult guests attend Texas Day.
All guests MUST be listed as a contact in Skyward. To update contacts, visit the front office.
You must have a valid photo ID to be on campus.
If your ID has already been scanned by the front office, please sign up here: bit.ly/TexasDay25 and we’ll have your name tag ready at check-in.
If your ID has NOT been scanned, bring it to the office by March 28 to be added to the system.
Please park in the auditorium parking lot off Pine Tree Road and walk around to the office to check in.

Students may not be checked out during the event.
Early check-outs will not be permitted. However, students may leave at 11:45 AM without an early-out penalty.

Walk Across Texas! (WAT!) is a program designed to establish the habit of regular physical activity. The goal for each team is to virtually walk 832 miles across Texas in eight weeks by logging in several types of activities that can be converted into miles. Students will be walking daily at school to complete the program after spring break.
This is a family event. Students may be checked out early for Spring Break at 10:30 am after the walk-a-thon is over. Please bring your car tag to be able to check your child out.
