Hello, I am Beeper Kraus and I have been a part of Pine Tree for most of my life. I am a graduate of Pine Tree class of 2000 and have 7 years of teaching Special Education and coaching basketball and golf here at home. I received my bachelor’s degree from Stephen F. Austin State University in Education and Kinesiology as well as receiving my Masters in Educational Instructional Leadership from Lamar University. My wife teaches Kindergarten at Pine Tree and we have two children Kingston and Kourtlyn. We love spending time with the family and trying to keep up with the kids. I am more than excited to be a part of the High School I call home and in a position to make a difference in our school and community.

Trevor Rogers, Senior Assistant Principal
The 2024-25 school year will be my 35th year in public education. I have served for the last 14 years as a small school superintendent, with the last two being at Friend Public School in Chickasha, Ok. I am a graduate of Marshall High School and my wife and I are excited to be back in good ol' East Texas. I started my career as a soccer coach and remember many great battles against the Mud Dogs! Along the way, I have served as an Assistant Principal and Principal at the JH and HS levels. Pine Tree has a long-standing tradition of excellence, and I am grateful for the opportunity to be part of the team! My wife Stacey and I have been married 26 years, and we have two boys- Luke, who is 22, and Landry, who is 18. I look forward to meeting everyone in the Pine Tree family! Go Pirates!

Kathleen Woodard, Junior Assistant Principal
With 16 years in education, I’m honored to be a part of the Pirate Family. I earned my bachelor's degree from East Texas Baptist University and obtained my teaching certification from Letourneau University. Following that, I completed my master's degree in educational administration at Lamar University. I am passionate about empowering young people to succeed and thrive, and I am committed to fostering a safe and supportive environment where students can learn, develop, and grow confidently. Outside of work, I enjoy the beach, reading, and attending church with my family at Mobberly Baptist, where we are members. I am happily married to my husband, Cody. We are proud parents to three wonderful daughters: Riley, 16, Hayden, 12, and Emmie, 7. With deep roots in East Texas, our family is grateful for the opportunity to love, lead, and serve in the Pirate community. Go Pirates!

Annette Johnson, Sophomore Assistant Principal
I am starting my 30th year in education. I have worn lots of hats in a school: HS Principal, Elementary Asst. Principal, Director of Fine Arts/UIL Academics, Director of Technology, Journalism Teacher, and Business Computer Applications teacher. I think my experiences make me a well-rounded administrator, and I just want to help teachers or students in any way I can. I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Journalism from UT Tyler and a Master's in Educational Leadership from SFA. I have been married to my husband, Mid, for 32 years. We have 3 kids: Blake is 25, Claire is 22, and Natalie is 18. I am very excited to be a Pine Tree Pirate. My goals are to build relationships and be a positive influence on students. Go Pirates!

Hello, I am Michael Hanks and I am starting my 5th year in education! I have a Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s degree from Dallas Baptist University. I am excited to be starting my second year as a Pine Tree Pirate and my first year as an Assistant Principal! In my career, I have been a Science Lead, Math Lead, Team Lead, Instructional Coach and Administrative Intern. These roles have allowed me to gain vast knowledge of leadership and curriculum. I care most about developing young men and women into the future leaders of tomorrow. My wife, Kelsey, is a Pine Tree graduate and those traditions helped to bring our family back to East Texas. Our two kiddos, Callie and Jacob, are the greatest gift from the Lord. We pray that God uses our family well to serve the Pine Tree Family.
